Budget disk space, download time and the transformation work needed by your tools. Keep an immutable raw copy when your license permits it. Record checksums and transformations so that a later experiment can be reproduced.
Compare the same scope
A one-time bar archive, a live API and an exchange tick feed include different things. Compare the symbols, dates, frequency, updates and license you actually require.
